Redlands, California-Along with a number of ESRI business partners, the www.paris-air-show.com), to be held June 13-19, 2005, at the Le Bourget Airport, Paris, France.
With more than 1,700 exhibitors, close to a quarter of a million visitors, and a heritage dating back to 1909, the Paris Air Show is the leading international event for the aviation, aeronautics, and space industries. “Geographic information system (GIS) technology is becoming increasingly important to the aerospace community,” said David Swann, ESRI’s International Defense Solutions manager. “GIS enables location to be factored into a wide range of decision support processes-from how to most effectively manage an Air Force base or commercial airport to how best to gather information prior to an air strike. GIS is also playing a growing role in the production of air charts and other aeronautical information products.” The ESRI booth (Hall 3, Stand E-12) will focus on a range of defense and aerospace applications involving GIS technology including geospatial intelligence, enterprise GIS architecture in defense, airfield and airport management, high-quality defense and aeronautical cartographic products, and a range of related GIS technology in defense and aviation. It will also define a unique Geospatial Pavilion, which will host kiosks, demonstrations, and displays from a variety of ESRI business partners.
