GIS Day: Government of Canada to announce geomatics funding

OTTAWA, Nov. 16 – On Wednesday, November 17, David McGuinty,
Member of Parliament for Ottawa South, will announce Government of Canada funding for technology projects in the geomatics industry. The funding is provided through GeoConnections, a national partnership initiative

He will make the announcement on behalf of the Honourable R. John Efford, Minister of Natural Resources Canada.

    The announcement will coincide with the proclamation of November 17 as Ottawa Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day by the Deputy Mayor of Ottawa, on behalf of His Worship Bob Chiarelli.
