GeoDecisions Becomes A Member of OGC

October 15, 2004 By GISuser

(Harrisburg, Pa.)  GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, recently became a member of the Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC).

As a member of OGC, GeoDecisions will benefit from productive relationships with other geospatial organizations. These relationships will allow GeoDecisions to continue to partner with multiple GIS platform providers, while contributing to and prospering from
the leading technology and effective solutions developed by members of OGC.

“OGC membership demonstrates GeoDecisions’ continued commitment to developing flexible, interoperable applications,” stated Robert M. Scaer, president of GeoDecisions.

OGC is a non-profit, international, and voluntary consensus standards organization leading the development of geospatial and location-based service standards. The organization works with government, private industry, and academia in the development of open and extensible software application programming interfaces specifically designed for GIS and other mainstream technologies.

The philosophy of GeoDecisions is based on an enterprise approach to the integration of diverse information technologies. Its reputation for success is founded on providing a full range of innovative solutions to its clients. This includes strategic and implementation planning, requirements definition, database design and development, GIS-based utility asset management tools, linear referencing system design and implementation, custom application development and product training, and Web and wireless solutions.
