NEW YORK, NY–( Nov 3, 2016) – Boundless, the leader in open GIS, today announced that Christopher Tucker, a GIS industry veteran, has joined the company’s board of directors.
The company also announced two executive promotions — Tom Ingold to chief technology officer and Anthony Calamito to chief evangelist — and the appointment of David Hemphill as vice president of product and engineering. These leadership moves fit within a larger strategy to capitalize on the company’s current momentum and to scale operations for massive growth.
Geospatial industry veteran and visionary Christopher Tucker has joined the company’s board of directors. “Boundless is creating an exciting moment in the geospatial industry that everyone should want to be a part of,” said Tucker. Boundless has made huge investments in the evolution of its open source geospatial technology platform, which have made them enterprise class and commercially supported. This opens a whole new world for enterprise customers who seek to take advantage of geospatial micro-services within elastic cloud environments. Boundless is working tirelessly to change the GIS landscape forever. The company’s open source geospatial technology is paving the way for the future and I am excited to be a part of the journey.”
