After the ISPRS Archives where accepted for inclusion into Thomson Reuters’ Conference Citation Proceedings Index (CPCI), one of the indices of the Web of Science, in August 2014, it was more a question of time, when the ISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences would follow.
This is now the case, Thomson Reuters has announced today that the first Annals volumes have also been included into the CPCI. According to the rules of CPCI, all Annals volumes published since 2012, when the series first started, will most probably be included into CPCI upon successful evaluation. It should be noted, however, that previous, and also each future volume will be evaluated individually.

This success is a new proof of the quality of the work presented in ISPRS events and published in the ISPRS proceedings. The flag ship journal, the ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, has long been considered one of the leading journals in the area. the Since April 2015, the new ISPRS International Journal on Geo-Information is also part of the Web of Science, and both the Archives and the Annals are also listed in DOAJ, the Directory of Open Access Journals. In addition, the Archives are part of SCOPUS, while the application for the Annals has been submitted late last year. Finally, applications for inclusion into the Engineering Index EI are in preparation. All the listings of ISPRS proceedings were initiated with the help of the ISPRS publisher, Copernicus GmbH of Göttingen, Germany.
