DataNumen has released DataNumen Office Repair version 2.1, a Windows utility suite that repairs corrupted or damaged files from MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook Express, and Outlook. The latest version of DataNumen Office Repair supports new MS Access file format, and supports shared formulas and array-entered formulas in Excel files, along with support to recover number formats in cells. New features for MS Word files include the ability to insert pictures in recovered documents, and support for Asian characters.
DataNumen Office Repair scans and recovers damaged Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, workbooks, and formulas, Access databases, and Outlook Express and Outlook data files. Using advanced proprietary technologies to scan the damaged Office files, DataNumen Office Repair recovers as many files as possible, and minimizes data loss.
Unlike competitive data recovery software, the demo version of DataNumen Office Repair will scan the damaged files and identify exactly the information that it can recover. Before purchasing the Office recovery software suite, users will be able to view all of the recovered contents in a preview window, and know exactly how successful their data recovery efforts will be when they install the full version of the program. DataNumen will refund a customer’s order if any competitive Office data recovery program can recover more data than DataNumen Office Repair.
DataNumen Office Repair works with files from all modern versions of Microsoft Office, and from each individual Office application. The software supports Word document recovery from Word 6.0 through 2013.
Excel files (xls, xlw and xlsx) are supported from Excel v. 3 to 2013. Access databases from Access 95 through 2013 can be fixed. Outlook Express files are supported from version 4 (mbx files) through version 5 and 6 (dbx files). The software repairs Outlook files from Outlook 97 through 2013.
DataNumen Office Repair works with modern drives, as well as older media such as CDROMs, DVDs, floppy disks, and Zip disks. Registered users can run DataNumen Office Repair in batch mode to fix any number of damaged files.
Corporate IT departments, law enforcement officials, and computer consultants use DataNumen Office Repair as a forensic tool to identify and repair damaged files. The software is fully integrated with the Windows Explorer context (right-click) menu, allowing users to initiate the repair process quickly and easily. Drag and drop operations are also supported.
Users who need to repair a file that was created by one of the five major Office applications may purchase an individual application from DataNumen to fix the damaged file. IT departments and computer consultants, however, will appreciate the convenience of licensing the DataNumen Office Repair suite of programs that will enable them to repair all of their clients’ damaged MS Office files.
