The Canadian Institute of Geomatics is pleased to announce its new President, Mr. Steeve Guillemette, an Information Consultant with the City of Quebec and manager of its Geomatics Division of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure. Mr. Guillemette was sworn in at the CIG Annual General Meeting held on October 3, 2013 at the Hilton Montréal Bonaventure Convention Center in Montreal, Quebec. He is joined on the CIG Executive by President Elect Dr. Ahmed El-Rabbany, P.Eng. Professor in Geomatics Engineering, and Graduate Program Director at the Department of Civil Engineering with Ryerson University, Toronto; Immediate Past President Mr. George P. McFarlane, retired as Head, Surveys and Mapping, Geomatics Section, Public Works and Government Services Canada, Ontario Region; Treasurer Mr. Gilles Champoux, Directorate of Real Property Planning with National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa.
The above are joined on the Executive by our new Vice-President Mr. Alexander M. Giannelia, B.A.A., President of The Airborne Sensing Corporation, Toronto.
