Europa Technologies partners with Pufferfish on global network coverage

Geodata services provider Europa Technologies has launched a partnership with Pufferfish, pioneers of dynamic spherical display systems.

The move brings together digital map data with interactive spherical displays to illustrate network coverage maps of the world.

A preview demonstration at the recent Mobile Roaming World Summit in London showed how global 2G, 3G and 4G coverage maps could be presented on a PufferSphere.

Europa Technologies, in association with Mosaik Solutions, provided the latest coverage map depicting global 4G rollout. In turn, Pufferfish converted a flat 2D map into an animated 3D movie.

Warren Vick, Founder and Director of Europa Technologies, said: “We demonstrated how our coverage map services are able to inform network subscribers, thereby lowering the cost of customer service.”

Ben Allan, Sales and Marketing Manager of Pufferfish, said: “The collaboration is the ideal blend of expert data mapping combined with eye-catching and intuitive hardware. We are enthusiastic about the potential of using our PufferSphere devices to display the raft of specialist topography created by Europa Technologies which can be intuitively explored, understood and even manipulated on our digital globe.”
