CALGARY – The National Energy Board (NEB) will release the Review of Offshore Drilling in the Canadian Arctic Report on Thursday, 15 December 2011 at 10:30 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time).
On May 11, 2010 the NEB initiated a review of the safety and environmental requirements for offshore drilling in Canada’s unique Arctic environment. Through the Arctic Review, the NEB examined the best information available on the hazards, risks and safety measures associated with offshore drilling in the Canadian Arctic. The report will be accompanied by Filing Requirements for future applications for Arctic offshore drilling,
