Blue Marble Geographics Acquires Global Mapper LLC of Parker, CO

Gardiner, Maine – Blue Marble Geographics (bluemarblegeo.com) announces they have acquired Global Mapper LLC of Parker, CO. Blue Marble and Global Mapper share the same common goal of offering powerful user friendly GIS software to all types of users. This merger promises to bring new and exciting tools to Blue Marble and Global Mapper users in the coming months and years.

Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.

Blue Marble formally announced the acquisition of Global Mapper on Wednesday November 2nd, at their Third Annual User Conference in Denver, CO. Blue Marble will also be adding Mike Childs to their team. Childs is the software developer behind Global Mapper and he will play an important role in the product merge and expansion.
