TerraServer Releases RealUp, a New Commercial Real Estate Website

RALEIGH, NC (June 5, 2009) — TerraServer, the leader in online imagery, announces the launch of subsidiary company RealUp, a new commercial real estate information company.

The beta site officially launched May 17, 2009 and is available to the public at www.RealUp.com. RealUp offers commercial real estate professionals free memberships, unlimited free searching, free recent sales comparables, free lending quotes and interactive listings.

TerraServer is utilized by many industries including construction, real estate, environmental, agriculture and education. The principals at TerraServer noticed many commercial real estate brokers were utilizing the site and saw an opportunity to branch out into the commercial real estate community. TerraServer has over 10 years of Internet development and website experience to bring to the table with this new venture.

"RealUp’s ultimate goal is to be the leading website in information, technology and marketing for commercial real estate professionals," said Brian Randy Funk, President of RealUp. "Having TerraServer’s experience with large quantities of data and serving a diverse customer base behind RealUp will ensure its success."

TerraServer has served up millions of satellite and aerial images. This expertise in large datasets is proving very useful for RealUp. One of the most exciting ways RealUp is serving the commercial real estate community is by providing free recent sales comparables and demographics to all of its members. RealUp knows that comparables and demographics are expensive but valuable information to their clients which is why they have heavily invested in acquiring this data. The recent sales comps are updated continually to provide up-to-date and accurate comparables.

Unlike most other commercial real estate listing sites, all of RealUp’s interactive listings are free to search with no registration required. Sperry Van Ness, Massey Knakal, TCN Worldwide, Hart Corporation and Divaris Real Estate are among the top commercial real estate firms that are already listing with RealUp. Each listing can contain unlimited photos, detailed descriptions, attachments and demographics. Mapping and aerial imagery is featured throughout the site, including search and listing results, via the Google Maps API.
