RealBird announces a co-branded, customizable Vertical Real Estate Search Engine

Redwood City, CA. March 16, 2009 – RealBird, a leading provider of Internet marketing tools for the real estate industry announces today the release of the industry’s first vertical real estate search engine based on Google’s custom search engine technology.

This search engine ( is made available free of charge.

The RealBird Vertical Real Estate Search Engine works and "feels" the same as Google’s search engine, with the following features:

Search space is restricted to relevant real estate sites.  Adding new sites is under manual control to make sure that only relevant sites end up in the search space.  Benefit: restricting and controlling the search space results in search results which are much more relevant, thus saving time for the user.
Available as a widget. Realtorsr can add the private-labeled search engine to their website or blog or ActiveRain account in a matter of minutes and they can easily share it as a "pick-up" widget with any web visitor or someone in their social network.  Benefit: branding and viral marketing effect.
Co-branded. The search widget and the search results pages are co-branded with RealBird’s and the agent’s photo / logos.  The agent’s contact info is prominently displayed. Benefit: the Agent’s brand is promoted in a unique and effective manner.
Customizeable.  Agents can add their own custom content to the results pages footer section.  Benefit: ability to deliver your marketing message with each search page
Advertising revenue sharing. The Search widget is Google advertising supported. The agent can use their own Google adsense account code to generate advertising revenues from a portion of the traffic on the Search widget.  Benefit:  revenue stream to agent.

Zoltan Szendro, Executive VP of the company said: "We saw a need in the real estate industry for a better search tool that provides much more focused and meaningful results than the general search engines such as Google or Yahoo. Home buyers go to agent and broker sites in great part to get educated about the home buying process, and they will tend to return to those sites where they can most easily find answers and good content. This search engine is based on the familiar Google search engine, provides the same lightening fast response but because of the controlled search space it filters out all the irrelevant items that would be obtain using Google’s own public search. It complements nicely the listing search tools on these sites and also provides a way for agents to generate ad revenue without having obtrusive advertising displayed on their websites."

Bill Gassett with Re/Max Executive Realty ( said: "The Search the Real Estate web tool put out by RealBird is fantastic because it narrows the user’s experience down to the real estate level. If you are looking for a site that pertains to real estate the RealBird tool will quickly and easily find what you are looking for. This tool works well for embedding into a blog or website for the ease of those consumers visiting the site. "
