The Australian Spatial Data Directory (ASDD) is a national initiative that was launched in 1998. It is supported by all governments under the auspices of ANZLIC ― the Spatial Information Council.
The aim of the ASDD is to improve access to spatial data for the benefit of the wider community ― industry, government, education, and general users through effective documentation, advertisement and distribution. The directory comprises government and commercial nodes in each State/Territory, and spatial data from agencies within the Australian Government.
