HIGHER DIPLOMA in APPLIED REMOTE SENSING AND GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS 2004
Vast amounts of spatial and non-spatial data from different sources are now available to researchers. However, in order to turn this data into useful information, it must be efficiently managed, processed and analysed before being displayed in a proper format. Geographical Information Systems greatly aid us in this task. Geographical Information Systems are widely used in a variety of fields including planning, health studies, environmental investigations and resource utilisation. This one year course seeks to provide the experience and skills required in order to fully utilise this information.
